Montelukast & Levocetirizine Tablets have been prescribed for treatment of symptoms of asthma and various allergic conditions. They are known to work by binding to H1 histamine receptors and inhibiting activity of histamine chemical messenger which is responsible for causing allergy. These tablets are also suitable to be consumed for relieving watery eyes, hay fever symptoms, runny nose, and sneezing. They are known to have excellent protein binding ability of 99% with bioavailability of 63 to73%. Montelukast & Levocetirizine Tablets get metabolized in liver by CYP2C8 & CYP3A4 enzymes with elimination half life of up to 10 hours.
