Fexofenadine Hydrochloride is histamine H1 receptor antagonist which is indicated to be used for treatment of allergy symptoms including urticaria & hay fever. It is known to have chemical formula C32H39NO4 with molar mass of 501.68 g/mol and bioavailability range of 30 to 41%. This compound gets metabolized in liver showing protein binding ability of 60 to 70%. After absorption, it gets excreted in feces with elimination half life of about 14.4 hours. Fexofenadine Hydrochloride works by preventing activation of H1 receptors thus inhibiting histamine activity which causes allergy. It is also admired for having anticholinergic & antidopaminergic effects.
