Ambroxol Hydrochloride is a cough syrup which is indicated to be used for relieving cough associated with upper respiratory tract infection, allergy, & asthma. It has been formulated having levosalbutamol & guaiphenesin as other active ingredients. This syrup is highly effective in nature and is known to work by increasing secretion of mucous and flow of fluids lining of glands in respiratory tract. Ambroxol Hydrochloride has ability to stimulate gastric mucosa receptors resulting in increased output for better relief from allergic condition and difficulty in breathing as well. It has excellent expectorant effects and is known to get rapidly absorbed after oral administration with up to 80% of bioavailability.
